External fuel rod

The AutoGPS application supports several ways of direct and indirect measurement of consumption and fuel level. Besides, for instance, direct connection to the CAN bus, it is also the Epsilon bar level sensor.

This sensor can measure the fuel level in tanks of Diesel vehicles with a higher accuracy than 10%. Simultaneously, up to four sensors can be installed on a single vehicle. After corresponding “calibration” the probe installed in the tank operates as a capacitor the capacity of which depends linearly on the level and temperature in the tank.

This value is converted into digital data processed by the AutoGPS servers and displayed in a well-arranged graph. The fuel level is continuously checked even if ignition is off; if the level suddenly decreases, owing to theft, for instance, an alarm signal is generated.
